Alkaram Textile Mills was established in 1986 in Karachi and has grown into one of Pakistan's major vertically integrated textile manufacturing and exporting businesses, covering the full chain from spinning to finished made-ups.

Its facilities include 124,000 spindles, 324 air-jet looms and 55 knitting machines, alongside its own dyeing, printing and processing lines. Alkaram exports to the United States, United Kingdom, France and Portugal, and has invested in water-saving dyeing technology that it states cuts water use by 66% in that process.
